From our trials here at the Townsville School of Marine and Tropical Biology I am very impressed with the Aerobin – they perform much better than the generic black ones – this I suspect is a feature of the patented aeration lung along with the insulation and the ability to collect (and use) the compost tea makes Aerobin novel as well – they would be perfect for the backyard gardener.

I have been using my Aerobin for almost 3 years now.
The Aerobin has to be one of the best purchases that my wife and I have made. The end product is amazing and so fast. It certainly saved us a lot of money in buying other products that the bin produces for free.

It is so nice to purchase a quality product that actually works and even out-performs the instructions that came with it.

To say that I am happy with my Aerobin would be an understatement - I am ecstatic about it! Why - not only because it works by producing the sweetest smelling compost in the shortest time with a minimum of input from me, it is an incredible piece of functional design that is unobtrusive and looks quite at home in the garden.

After the initial loading with layers of leaves, grass clippings, manure, kitchen waste, the process just replicated itself with a minimum input required of me. I collect leaves and garden waste in plastic bags, which I add gradually every few days along with kitchen scraps. Apart from that the only thing I have to do is to ensure that the contents are kept moist.

The features I am particularly impressed with are:

• the fact that the matured compost can be removed through the lower doors without interfering with the ongoing process of newer material above.

• the fact that the insulation ensures that a constant temperature and humidity is maintained (even though located under trees in the shade this has not affected the temperature).

• the fact that I don't have to do anything, the bin does all the work!

The design of the Aerobin is nothing short of brilliant. Despite have qualifications in environmental science this is the first time that I have ever been able to produce compost. So yes, I am excited with the Aerobin. Perhaps there are other methods of producing compost that work equally well, but with Aerobin my experience is that of a 100% success rate in producing rich black crumbly compost at regular 3-4 months intervals.

I’ve been gardening for over 40 years and invested a fair bit of energy into building my own compost heaps and getting them working.

Most recently, before getting the Aerobin, I’ve had three static composting bins. One of these had access to remove the compost at the bottom. Depending on the situation, I either added to them piecemeal and let them compost as they went or if I had a lot of material I would layer a full bin, which was much better. Depending on whether I had the time or energy, half way through the composting cycle I would remove and relocate the bin and turn the contents back into it, dampening it as I went, which would also speed the process. All though were much slower than my Aerobin.

My most successful compost process was in the US, where I made 2 compost heaps out of snow fencing beside each other. I would build a full layered heap in one (I used to horrify friends by taking them out the back to stick their hands in the compost heap and see how hot it was), then when the heat died down turn it into the other to finish off.

I’ve found that there is the same heat build up in the Aerobin and no need to turn. The aeration lung makes a big difference. I’ve found the Aerobin equal to the best compost piles I’ve made and ideal for the backyard. Its size is a real benefit for recycling all our garden, yard and kitchen materials. We’ve had the Aerobin for around two years now and been getting more and better compost from it quicker than the other three conventional compost bins.

I just wanted to thank you for your fantastic customer service. It is 5 Star just like the product you sell.
I will make sure the parts are assembled as you have stated and look forward to many more years of composting.
Thank you once again.

I was surprised at how quickly the compost broke down, even during the cold winter months. A great asset for my vege garden, and a great forward step from the old-fashioned compost bins.

Two weeks ago Samantha Roumeliotis and Charlotte Parker from Year 3 wrote to Mr Rob Adam,CEO of Aerobin. As Year 3 are acting as the Environment captains this year, the girls explained to Mr Adam about our new vegetable gardens and our desire to recycle our compost. Mr Adam said in his reply".......The world has changed hasn't it - young girls getting excited over a Composting Bin - perhaps it is getting to be a better place after all."
Mr.Adam arrived in the Junior School on Wednesday to deliver and install the new Aerobin and explain to the girls how to use the Aerobin to turn their food scraps into compost. The girls, the staff and Mrs. Kinross, our gardener were amazed with this wonderful technology. All of the Junior School is now excitedly doing their part to protect our environment by collecting our food wastes. Please visit the website to find out further details about this fabulous compost bin. Again we thank Mr. Adam.

I’m writing this letter to let you know how happy I am with my Aerobin. I have had it for about 21/2 years and it has given me beautiful compost which has given me a beautiful garden. Over the years I have tried them all, rotary tumble bins and the rest and have been very disappointed in them because they wouldn't compost, or with the rotary tumble bin turn it into a big wet blob which I couldn’t do anything with so once again I had wasted our money. Then one day I was on the net looking at compost bins and saw the Aerobin, I watched the video and thought that’s what I want but because I had already spent a lot on compost bins and the Aerobin is not cheap I left it for awhile then one day I showed my husband the video and he said get one if you want. So I did and because it works I don’t feel bad about spending the money. Our rubbish bin goes out each week nearly empty because all our paper, cardboard, egg cartoons, vegetable scraps, grass clippings, weeds and so on, all go into the bin and come out not how you put them in but as compost.

One happy customer.

Environment - Make Good Compost Fast

Posted on: January 26, 2009

I have been extremely happy with our Aerobin since we bought it about 8 months ago. We were able to use the first compost after a few months and it was the first time I have ever successfully made compost! We have used many different methods - open air piles, closed bins, home made bins - but never had any real success as the compost was always slimy. AND - the best thing for us girls...NO RATS!!!! As the whole thing is enclosed, this is never a problem..
Finally, a system that really works. "

What can I say. It's brilliant. I bought mine at a West Lindfield (NSW) garden shop.
My question: Is there a rebate from the NSW Govt for the bin ? I would like to get whatever they offer.
In the meantime I hope that you sell a million of them.

Cheers,
Wayne Davies

The bin is attractive, takes a lot of waste and the company welcomes feedback and show initiative with the advice it gives to users; a solid and useful new product."
